Rancilio & Associates has become an industry leader through their extensive use of technology.  When DMG Computer began working with Rancilio & Associates to bring them up-to-date, their network, website, and database solutions were quite good.  However, at DMG Computer, good is not good enough.  Read on to learn how DMG Computer helped to bring Rancilio & Associates up-to-date with their technology through exciting changes large and small.  From upgrading their entire network of computers, website, and email, to expanding on their custom database solutions and implementing online status checking for their clients.  With sweeping changes throughout their entire technology system, DMG Computer has significantly increased productivity in almost every aspect of the services Rancilio & Associates provides.

Network and Computers

Rancilio & Associates had been running their computers on Microsoft Windows 2000 based computers with Microsoft Office 2000 handling all of their document and database needs.  After auditing every system, DMG Computer determined that upgrading the amount of memory in each computer would greatly improve the performance of their systems.  We also decided on upgrading all existing computers to Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Microsoft Office 2003 Professional to match the new systems that would be added to the network.

As for the network, DMG Computer helped transition Rancilio & Associates from a DSL internet connection to a T1 internet connection, allowing for faster connectivity between their office, clients, and associates. 

Website

Rancilio & Associates had an existing website when DMG Computer began working with them, however, it was not quite what they wanted.  Working closely with employees at Rancilio & Associates, DMG Computer quickly implemented sweeping changes throughout the website to make it more lively, informative, and helpful.

Along with the sweeping redesign, DMG Computer provided much needed Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to the website. Now, Rancilio & Associates' website, http://www.rancoassociates.com can be seen highly ranked in all major search engines for their desired keywords, Michigan process servers, Michigan process service, and more.

One highly desired aspect of the new website was online status checking for their clients.  Rancilio & Associates wanted their clients to have the ability to check the status of papers online, from anywhere, at anytime.  Through the use of a PHP and MySQL database solution, the website now offers clients the ability to view their statuses for all papers or search for specific papers online, and / or download an entire listing of their papers in Microsoft Excel format.  Clients login into this area of the website, and each client can only view their own papers.

We also switched their webhost from the one they originally had, to one that we have dealt with for years.  Their old webhost did not have the functionality necessary to implement the online status check system that was requested.  Also, they had many problems with their email accounts through their old webhost, including delayed sending and receiving.  With email being an extremely important communications method for them, they rated this an extremely high priority.  Upon switching to the new webhost, DMG Computer has implemented the status checking system on their website, and Rancilio & Associates can send and receive email on time, with no limitations.

Database Solutions

The number one priority and task at Rancilio & Associates was to bring their already existing database solution to the point that best serves their needs.  Taking the existing database, DMG Computer built additional functionality into it, giving it more of an application-like feel and usefulness.  Creating numerous queries, forms, and reports, DMG Computer has helped Rancilio & Associates input and extract the information they want and need quickly and easily.
